EYE CAMP |

ASA-GV has held free eye camps for its members at 25 various areas in
collaboration with A.Govindarajan Eye Hospital, Joseph Eye Hospital-Trichy
and Aravind Eye
Hospital-Madurai. Thousands of members and nonmembers have benefitted from
this program in which they were provided free medication and operations
without any fee. |

ANNADHANAM |

Annadhanam (Free meals) is yet another profound credit plus activity done by
ASA-GV. Regular Annadhanam happens at the Head Office for the poor, the old and the
downtrodden. Branch also provides Annadhanam to the members who come to the
branch during loan disbursement. Apart from that, on special days all
branches carryout
Annadhanam in common social gatherings for the poor. |

ASA-GV manages an in house unit to train its staff, community leaders and
women members on micro finance and development topics. The women were also taken to
larger social networks or gatherings and given exposure. The capacity
building has also been extended to small NGOs through ASA Community College
to effectively integrate micro finance into development interventions. |

Apart from providing economic support for income generating activities which
is the most essential need for the poor, ASA-GV provided other support

Information sharing workshops, Skill upgradation Training, Internal
